[Dealing with Challenging Students]

I posed a question on Normative Vs Instrumental.
The careers they choose will not always give room for excuses. I try to show the good and the bad of both sides so that they can make a choice. I would like to see more leaders. Do we help them govern behavior or choices?

We are given free will for a reason not everyone is going to make the same choice, but intresting to see the end result of the group that made the better choice. And for the ones who need help being directed to choose wisely we as educators are here.

I agree that students should learn that each choice they make has a consequence. That consequence may be positive or negative. Sometimes even failing to make a choice constitutes making a choice.

I also agree. I find that people actually in the field serve as good verification for teaching techniques and choices students make, especially when it comes to personal behavior and students not believing it will come back to haunt them. When their actual would be boss says something, they tend to listen.

I agree when you learn that every choice has a consequence governing behavior seems to fall in line.

Hi Thomas,
I would say choices. As you have heard, for every choice, there is a consequence.
