How to deal with polish the apple student
Students who try to "brown nose" or polish the apple student need to understand that such behavior will not increase their grade. They need to understand that they are taking time away from other students, and this is not productive to them or to other students.

We have to be our students biggest cheerleaders and really bring out the best in them. Some of our students hide their intellect abilities or do not believe in their abilities.

I concur! All students should feel as though they are important, and you do not show favoritism.

It is extremely important to make sure the class does not see you as having favorites.Be open and encouraging to the students who are quiet, uninterested or having outside influences.Call on these students in place of always letting the apple student do all the talking to or humoring you.
