Taking Responsibility
What are some of the tools that you use to encourage students to take responsibility?

We do various workplace scenarios to determine who is at fault. I also give a big lecture in this area.

Students need to know that they must be held accountable for their actions and for every choice their is a consequence.

I always encourage the student to take responsibilty to his or her actions. I also discuss with them alternatives to their actions, which may have produced different results
I would think that one of the biggest tools is comparing their work to an applicable situation in the work force. For example turning in late work at a job may lead to one being fired.
