Recognizing comments
If a students give an Instructor a good commrnt on his teaching, recognize the comment, because the student could be sincere, and not just trying to better his grade...
Hi Michael,
Awesome! I can tell you take well to consructive feedback; not only do you want to make the course better, you also want to become a better instructor.

I provide my students with constructive criticism on how to improve on a daily basis for challenged students,as well as the advanced students. I also seek constructive criticism from the class on a weekly basis on how the course or myself can be improved. I try to assure them that their feedback will have no effect on how they are scored and that I will continue to provide any support they need in order to open up theie honesty and feeling that they can say what needs to be said. I always thank them for the feeback and try to implement their suggestions.
This is easier said than done! However, as a writing instructor, I am called upon to criticize work frequently. If I continually remind students that the criticism is meant to be constructive (to alleviate their sense that they are doing poorly) and that learning to write well is a matter of constant improvement, then I must also be able to consider the same advice for myself.
Hi Alcide,
Just as we take to a good comment, we should also be just as receptive to constructive feedback by the students.
