How to deal with student who has a lot of experience and talkative
I have student who thinks he knows everything taught in class and keeps intrupting the lecture. Finally, after 104 course, I know how to deal with her. I asked her if she wants to take extra challenging work as an extra credit, so she was happy and classroom continued on without intruption.
This can be a good thing. I use their knowledge to help others and to participate in class lectures and use their input as another source of knowledge.
Students like this can be turned into an asset .
They can be used to call on during the lecture . I believe that folks like that like to be heard and what better way than to draw on their knowledge in a controlled manor versus disruptive outburst.
