Guest Speakers is a Plus or Negative
Having a guest speaker doesn't mean the are a for the field....in discussing
I never considered the idea of having an ex-student come in to speak about the challenges that they over-came to successfully make it through the program. Even though, I am a graduate of the program from the same school myself, I think that they would respond better if they hear it from someone else. It's like children reluctant to listen to their own parents, but if another respected adult recommends it-then it's a great idea! I'm going to give it a try!

Students need to hear what other professionals have to say about the topic at hand. Students will find that most guest speakers will reinforce what has been taught.

Overall, my experiences have been very positive with guest speakers. Students absolutely love guest speakers. It is good for students to hear from other professionals other than their instructors.

No doubt guest apeaker is essential! I always observe how sparking, appreciative and wondering became auditory of my medical classes after journey-lecture of my hospital comrades - physicians, assistants, nurses and diagnostic procedure technicians! Students continuously asked me to invite next guest for more lecture hours!!
