Hi Ronald,
You are so on point. Wow, I feel the same way. I have a zero tolerance level for cheating.
Patricia
I believe that any cheater should be severely punished. Re taking the course or expulsion should be the only penalties. Cheating in class is the same as stealing in the real world, no one should have to put up with it.

Hi Dwayne,
It is ashame people do not want to be held accountable anymore. It is always someone else's fault, simply take responsibility for your actions.
You do think extreme--termination. At the minimum, they should fail the course.
Patricia
Extreme is where it should start. Today, the attitude seems to be 'someone else's fault.' No one is respoonsible for their actions. I spilled coffee on myslef so I should sue the place that sold me the coffee. We need to get back to the idea that a person is responsible for thier own actions. Cheating in my mind is the same as stealing; stealing information instead of goods.
Termination from the program is the only just punishment as far as I am concerned.
A repeat of that course would be suitable punishment.
A cheater is one who does not have Character. Personnal responsiblity or lack there of is enough to have some students try and take the easy way out. In the long run.... they are the ones who suffer.
If caught the punishment should be extreme. That is my belief.
Hello Stu,
Perhaps, you instituion should adopt a policy on cheating.
Patricia
It depends on the test, a final yes boot them out, quiz etc. give them a zero and have them write a letter to you explaining what they did was wrong.
Hello Stu,
If the student is truly a cheater, the student should be reprimanded. Is being kicked out of school your only penalty for cheaters?
