Students that cheat with help of the privious class.
Why is it students feel the need to give answers to students coming into a class so they don't have to study?

It is always good to constantly change tests. Students let the word leak out as to what's on a test. Also, sometimes the test can even be taken from the room.

I agree with the alternating of tests and quizzes. Also there may be multiple tests given to students at the same time. It is best to eliminate consistency in the courses because of the sharing factor.
We combat this situation by alternating tests given each term. This alternating test method prevents the student; that is either repeating or has a friend in a lower level, from gaining an unfair advantage or giving an unfair advantage to a friend.
I see what you re talking about, what I try and do is have a set of 3 - 4 quizzes, and I pass them out at random in the class, so the chances of two papers next to each other being the same are not there.
In case the class wants to pass on the quizzes to the coming class, and they are to memorize the four quizzes and answer them. then they are in a round about way meeting their learning objectives of learning the topic.

They think they are helping a friend out, when in essence they are doing the friend a huge disservice.
