Soda Bottles!!

Just a heads up, if you allow soda bottles in class watch out for the labels, I've seen students pull off the label, scan to a computer program and type in a cheat sheet where the ingredients and nutritional facts are. Makes you wonder why they don't put this effort in to studying huh?

That is unreal, I would never have thought of that as a way to cheat. Thanks, I will keep an eye out for it. In my Classroom the cheating was with electronics. Students would type out study sheets on their laptops and try to keep them open during a test. I finally had to have all electronics left at the back of the room. They would also try to use classroom computers as well. Cell phones were also used to pass answers, I had to have an additional instructor available to proctor during tests

Wow! This is unbelievable

Wow thanks for the heads up, students try to get so creative when trying to cheat, but they are only doing themselves more harm then good in the long run.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for this

Hi Marianne,
It is amazing about the soda bottle! This should be shared with every educator you come in contact with because I would have never thought this was happening.

Thanks for the heads up, this is the first I've heard of it. I'll be on the look out for it in class. Cell phones became such a problem in class that I finally told them they had to drop them off in the bucket at the beginning of class and they could take them during breaks and etc. After about a week of that, things became better and I didn't have to continue with the childish phone in the bucket game.

Hi Jamie,
Absolutely! Some students are so clever when it comes to putting together schemes for the wrong things.

Makes me nuts! If you're going to spend that much time on cheating, why not devote some of that time to studying...

They also remove the labels, write answers on the back, and glue them on again, and read the answers through the clear bottle. I don't allow drinks during tests.

Hi Nathan,
I've heard this before! UNREAL! Students are becoming more and more creative each day.
