Technology has helped student cheating in plagiarizing text for reports and papers. It is also easy to find and prove cheating using the same technology.

That is why I take steps to ensure the the cheating policy is published in the college catalog, the student handbook, the online portal, and the course syllabus. I also show them examples of cheating so that they know that I am on top of the latest tricks. While there will always be one or two students who will test the system no matter what I do I have found that these tools have reduced the number of cheating cases that I have to respond to.

Hi Tracy,
Students utilize the internet to cheat by plagarizing. Students use cell phones to have notes typed to use for the tests. Students have blue tooth devices and will have someone recite the answers for them. The list continues. How do you think technology have helped in the aid of students cheating?
