Cheating Students
When I know a student just cheated on a test, when the other students go on a break I call that student to my desk and talk to them about their study habits. I tell them I think they can do better if they find more time to study, then I have them take the test again

It is totally unfair this is one of the reasons why cheating students should be reprimanded. They do need to be spoken to so that they can understand the wrong in cheating and how cheating is not going to help them any in the workplace.

IT WOULD NOT BE FAIR TO THE STUDENTS WHO WORK SO HARD TO ALLOW THIS STUDENT TO GET A GRADE OF ANYTHING OTHER THEN AN F BUT THEY DESERVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE SPOKEN TO ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES AND LISTENED TO AS WELL AS MENTORED ON DOING THE RIGHT THING AND MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICE...WITHOUT LECTURING TO THEM !

Wow, you are real lenient. The student should really thank you because this is really giving the student a second chance. When I know a student has cheated, it is institutional policy that the student will receive an "F" at the minimum. I do counsel the student about preparing better.
