Managing a disgruntal student
I actually feel this is a good challenge for me as an instructor. I feel if I can get through to the students who have issues, then I have mastered the technique of getting through!
I don't like dealing with disgruntalled students because I feel like they often are trying to push me or manipulate me. I don't mind trying to help but I feel they often take advantage of that too and it's hard to know when to draw the line.

You do at some point have to say I've done all I can do to make things better/right, therefore I am content with the way things are. Some students are just chronic whiners/complainers.

I don't like having to deal with disgruntalled students. I'm sure no one does! I still don't feel like I am very good at it. I listen and try to find solutions to any problems. Sometimes there are students who just want to be upset and nothing you do will make it any better. In those cases, I've just decided that I can't please everyone all of the time.
