Reducing classroom cheating

In our institution, during the day of the final exams, teachers are required to read to the students a " cheat script". Letting them know of the rules and regulations and the consequences if ever they are caught cheating..

Hi Rosy,
I had a professor that would allow us to put as many notes as we wanted on one index card front and back to help with the test. This is a tactic that can minimize cheating as well.

This Cheat Script is an excellent idea. It is fresh in their minds what might happen and maybe steer them away from cheating if they had plans to.

I too like the idea of a "cheat script " Sounds like a good up front reminder. During an exam I too will sit at the front of the room and walk around the room a few times.

That "cheat script" sounds like a good warning reminder. I sit in front of the room (although the course recommends the back of the room- but that would be very awkward in our class set up) and constantly look around the room.
