demanding students

to try and keep demanding students from monopolizing my time, we have sign up sheets for all the students in our clinical setting. does anyone else have another suggestion?

I like to linger a little after class and work on clarify non verbal cues that I received during the class from my students. I have found that this helps to let the students known that I care and that communication in our class is a two way street.

I use my personal break time and lunch time as periods when students can discuss anything at all regarding the course. I also open every class with time for questions. They also are given my home number and email. So I don't get this often but on occasion I get a student who will ask question after question. If I politely tell them we can discuss more questions later they get angry. Is there a "best" method for dealing with this?

Hi Sandra,
I let my students know that I welcome questions, concerns, issues, just good conversation, etc. before class and after class. I always come in early and stay late.
