I had a student last night come in to the classroom angry. I noticed that her behavior wasn't the same. So I approched the student and asked her to speak with me in privately. Asked the student what was wrong she told me nothing but I could tell that she was bothered by something. Then I asked her to take a walk and cool off some and then come back to class with a smile. The student went to put water on her face and returned back to class with a smile. We have a rule that you don't pass the threshold with a unprofessionalism you leave that at home.

If possible address the issue one on one with the student in private. You can do an official written reprimand. If your safety and the safety of others is put in jeopardy you should suspend or dismiss the student.
