Positive Attitudes

Encouraging positive attitude is always something an instructor strives for. Although the occasional student will bring in an attitude that doesn't represent the upbeat positive student that you are looking for. Sometimes it helps to speak to the student in a private environment to see if there is something you can help with. This builds rapport with your students letting them know that you acknowledge them and are concerned about their success. Which 95% of the time solves the situation and removes the negativity from the classroom.

Having a positive attitude is imperative for learning. In my field you have all ages of people!!

Having a positive attitude is very important in all aspects of life, especially at the developmental level.

As an instructor your attitudes toward your students, subject matter or the academic institution can greatly effect the tone of the class. By giving yourself time to prepare for class and leave your worries and negativity outside the class you can improve the attitudes of others. A positive attitude is more catchy the a first grader with a cold.
