Mistakes

We make mistakes me move on we grow and learn from them, Thats how we grow a human beings.

Hi Robert,
Do you look at your mistakes as bad choices? Sometimes things do go wrong even with having a plan. It is good to know that you are a very flexible type of instructor, understanding that it is no need to get bent out of shape when things do not go as planned. I feel this is a great characteristic to have as an instructor.
Patricia

I have never made a mistake. only a few bad choices. even with the best plans sometimes things dont work for you. You have to learn to roll with things and make it the best learning as possible.

Mistakes, although painful at the time, are an integral part of our growth as an instructor and an individual. I do not enjoy making them, but I appreciate the process of working through them...

Thank you so much. I have always taken pride in my tests and being organized but not sure what happened that day. Thank you for your support!

Hi Karen,
They won't think any less of you. Mistakes happen. Don't be yourself up, move forward.
Patricia

I had a test that has 3 sets of questions twice - made me very embarrased but I joked about my mistake and that I am human after all. Hopefully they did not think any less of me. This is the first time this has happened!

Hi Jacalyn,
Nicely responded to. Just as sure as we are human, we are going to make mistakes. We are educators, but we don't know everything. We are just good at what we do.
Patricia

Hi Mark,
Mistakes are not bad as long as you learn from them.
Patricia

Making a mistake can make you a better instructor. It allows you to look at your teaching to come up with a better idea.

I don't know anyone that has not made mistake. We are all subject to mistakes. When i make a mistake and I am called out on it instead of trying to ignore it I search for the right answer. I let my students know that I am just as human as they are and I don't know everything about everthing. I have also stated to my students that I learn something new everyday. I feel that tehy can relate better if they know that you are not so different from them that you don't know everything, but are willing to learn and grow also. If you are not willing to learn and grow how can you expect your students to learn and grow.

Hi Christine,
Absolutely! Do what you say you are going to do!
Patricia

Being able to laugh at your mistakes makes you human and approachable to students. Be sure to always tell students you will find the answer if you don't know it and follow through!

Hi Vincent,
Nicely said! Just as sure as we live, we are going to make mistakes.
