Creating an istrutor image
I hopre instructors do not have to break the bank to look professional by dress !!!
Hi Lionel,
As you stated, although you are in uniform, it is a right way and a wrong way to wear it. You model the uniform the right way. Students pay close attention to our dress.
Patricia
I agree with that personnal grooming and looking or dressing is important. I have an uniform, it is my responsability to show them how to wear it the right way.
Not the way around.
It doesn't take alot of money to look professional. Having a nice, groomed look just takes a little bit of time in the morning. I have a co-instructor and there is a big difference in the way we present ourselves and the student perception of our teaching ability reflects these differences.
I would dress professionally, and tell the students that they are to do the same. I would not ask them to do anything that I will not do myself.
There are several ways to create an instructor image without spending a lot of money. If your title requires you to wear scrubs, then my suggestion is to iron your attire and keep your outside appearance as professional as possible!!! These rules should apply to every professional instructor and student as well, people usually follow by example.
