Class Management
As Coordinators, we are required to teach Career Success class, where our student role thier eyes at us an always are fighting for the back of the class.We haev done the PP and even games like family fued and Jeaopardy and they refuse to participate.
I know the feeling! I taught an Anatomy & Physiology course for Criminal Justice majors, most of whom didn't understand why they had to take the class. It was very difficult to convince them that it was valuable to them in their careers, and that they had to take a science class anyway! I give them, as their first assignment, to research the ways that A&P can help them read coroner's reports, reconstruct crime scenes, etc. This usually helps reduce the resistance.
