Actually you need to prepare in order to make it. Students can tell when you are faking it to make it, then your reputation is ruined.

Preparation is key! One of the fastest way to ruin your reputation as an instuctor is to go into the classroom and try to wing it.

I was able to get over the jiters by being prepared. It helped me a great deal. I was in class early, had my objectives written on the board a ready to go. The student's seem impressed and willing to learn.
