The risk of trying something new
NO MATER THE YEARS TEACHING IS THE MOST HARDEST BUT THE RISK IS WELL WORTH IT.
My boss/coach has instilled in me, that it's better to try something new and fail than to never have expanded my horizons in the first place. He is a great mentor. And let me tell you...I have had some FLOPS. I remember one class that I didn't make "guided notes" for them as I usually do and it was about an overthrow of control. LOL. They lived and I found other ways to change my lecture and KEEP the guided notes.
Hi Suzanne,
It is risky trying new things for the very first time, however it is smart of you to take notes so that you have something to refer to.

In the past, when I have tried to present a lesson differently than I have during previous classes, I take the risk of it not working. When I am trying the new method, I carefully plan so it will seem as though I have always presented it this way. As I go along with the lesson, I make notes to myself about how something worked or didn't work so the next time I teach this lesson I will know what I did and how it turned out.
Hi John,
It is challenging because you teach students and each student is unique.
