Online Setting
I feel that presenting a professional image as well as being a leader within the field of study are important aspects in creating an online setting. This approach is productive and supports student growth. Within an online setting the professional approach is being knowledgeable and sharing the course information effectively.
Hi Kim,
Absolutely! You are on point! Explanations should be as clear and concise as possible to minimize confusion. Also, we do not need to spoon feed our students, because they are not going to be spoon fed in the workplace.

I would agree with the timely responses. I would also like to add clear and easy to understand responses to their requests. If you send back an encrypted message, you are setting your students up for failure. The students look to you for proper responses, not riddles they have to solve in order to complete their work. They are already confused, and not returning a clear and concise message will only add to the confusion.
One problem I have with students is they want me to just give them the answers. However, I am a firm believer that if you just give them the answers, you are not teaching them anything. Rather than just giving them the answers, I direct them to where they can find the answers. Reminding them that research is often a specific trait employers are looking for in their employees. Employers want someone who is willing to go the extra mile for completion rather than someone who is willing to stand around and wait for someone to just give them the answer.
Hi Frank,
I would also like to add responding timely to students will help create a professional image as well.
