To Wear a university emblem
I believe it is in poor taste to display another university's emblem (whether shirt or computer bag)while teaching at a different university. Are there rules about this?

I also agree that is improper to wearing or display other university emblems than the school that you are teaching at. It can send a mixed signal to your students on where your loyalty is.

Out of nothing more than respect, I personally will not wear another university emblem other than the college where I graduated from, and I too get questioned about that.

It makes sense. There's a lot of bags, pens, etc. that I've gotten from other schools, but my students would question why I'm not there teaching rather than where I'm at now.

There are no rules about this, but I feel it is in poor taste as well. Out of respect, it should not be done.
