Instructor Image
Very important issue...I always dress the same way I would if working in the industry to demonstrate visually what is required in the world of business.
Hi Forrest,
Absolutely! We must lead by eample. We certainly are not exempt from the rules.

In addition to clothing, our image is made up of our professional behavior as well. Being to class on time and adhering to the same classroom policies that are enforced on our students (regarding things like food and drinks, cell phones, etc..) make a huge impact on our overall image.
Hi Manuel,
Appearance is extremely important! I like how you instill in your students the importance of appearance, and I also like how you lead by example.
Patricia
I teach Medical Students and since we are in scrubs all day. I usually make it a point to let the students know that although we are in Scrubs. We still must keep that professional appearance .I tell them that their scrubs must be clean and look press. I tell them that wrinkled Scrubs show that you are unprofessional. I with that said I also show some to look by my display of how I always have my scrubs clean and press. (Also tell them I am ex military and I always look at uniforms first)
Hi Jeannette,
Our students feel a great sense of self confidence and professionalism whenever they dress the part.
Patricia
I do the same. We do have one day of professionalism when students wear business attire.
Hi Diana,
We are our students role models, and we need to demonstrate what we want our students to become.
