New Instructor
One of the best pieces of advice given to me before the first class I ever taught was; go in with confidence in the knowledge that I have and not to tell the students that it was my first class.
you should never indicate to students that you are a new instructor. if you do, this gives the student the opportunity to find fault in every aspect of your teaching method
Hi Shamara,
Great advice! It is irrelevant that it is your first class. Students will never know that it is your first class unless you tell them. You can walk into class on Day 1 and make a strong presence by being knowledgeable, prepared, organized, caring, and professional, and students will think you have been doing this for years.
