instructor mistakes

INSTRUCTORS MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TREATING STUDENT LIKE ADULTS BY ASSUMING THE KNOW ALOT ABOUT A SUBJCT BECAUSE THEY ARE OLDER. TREAT EVERYONE AS IF THEY ARE STARTERS SO THAT EVERYONE IS ON THE SAME PAGE ACADEMICALLY

You raise a good point Penelope. It is also part of the struggle to maintain the interest of those students who are ahead of the curve when trying to reach the students who need it most.

i completely agree with the statement..as we start a course ,students are all equal.. no matter how old or young they are... they are all in the class to learn.. the expectations has to be the same... thank you

Each group of students contains such a variety of different learing levels. It makes it difficult to know how to reach them all. I agree that you have to start with the basics but need to be able to reach beyond that too so that all students will be interested and challenged with the course.
