First day nerves

Students expect a high level of professionalism, and experience in the field in order to create a reputation and base layer of spect with new students

I have been teaching for over a year now and I still get nervous walking into a classroom for the first time.

I like to join in the icebreaker that way I'm momentarily on the same page as my new students & I get to know them. That helps me with first day jitters.

Instructor's that faces the first time teaching a class should do a dry run. You can choose friends, co-workers or family members to help you with this exercise and ask them to give you feedback on what you did right or wrong. This will help you on the first day of class and help with the nerves.
