Respect
It would be hard to move forward without respect within the classroom
If you lose the respect it is difficult to earn it back. However, it is possible. Time heals most wounds. Continues to build a positive rapport is the start. Respect can be rebuilt, and the lessons from these modules are a good tool to create change.
Without respect, the students would rather read the book than listen to you. They need to respect your knowledge as well as your experience, AND that you care about teaching them.
Respect is very important in life. It is okay not to like a person and for the person not to like you, but there should always be respect on both ends.
If you show respect, your students will follow by examples.
