4 Teaching Styles

I really enjoyed how the four teaching styles of the instructors were catagorized and explained. Very entertaining way of presenting the information, while also making it entertaining. Helps us be able to re-evaluate our own teaching style.

The thing that I really enjoyed hearing was that we all can use different teaching styles at different times. Yes, we have our preferred style but we also must be able to adjust for the class that we are instructing. Every class has a different personality and pace.

Brian, what actions do you plan to take within the next 30 days? Set yourself up for success by setting easy to achieve goals first that lead to some larger goals you want to achieve over time. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance.

Kathryn, what changes do you plan to make within the next 30 days? Having a plan of action and setting a timeline for yourself is the best way to make the most of what you have just learned. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way.

This lesson really helped me to see my teaching style, and what direction I need to go to better improve my classroom management.

I really enjoyed the categories too. I would like to think that I'm a guide, but seeing the other management styles made me think I might need to adjust my style a little.

Pauline, just as we always explain to our students that learning is life long, we as instructors need to lead by example and always learn new ways to deliver our lesson plans. The days of lecturing in front of a classroom are over and research has proven that engagement and student involvement are key to maximize learning.

Shaghayegh, well stated and this is the idea. By being exposed to different delivery methods you can better envision how you can make changes to your own teaching style to better educate and entertain (EduTainment) your students.

I have to agree with you. We all have a teaching style that we prefer and feels comfortable, but learning new styles and re-evaluating what we are doing helps with the growth of ourself.
