Teaching styles
I'm sure we all have a little of each of these styles in our routine. I think it will be useful going forward to self identify and try to lead with the best practices.
I agree with this, I feel most instructors/teachers have varied styles and the styles of classrroom management we choose has alot to do with the type of students in your classroom. Depending on how the students act over all influences my style, as well as the classroom style. I would rather come accross as controller and have students change their mind and think of me as more of a guide later, because if you do not have control over your class...you never will.
Daniel, you are correct. A good Guide will know when to take control, when to have empathy, and when to focus on building relationships. The ultimate goal is to build trust with your students and ensure they have a safe learning environment.
