Instructors definatly need good people skills especialy for those of us who are dealing with student form different geographical areas. Many of these student are coming from rough neiborhoods and they were never taught people skilss as instructor put of are wole is to educate,and motivate if our people skills is bad the students will most likely do the same.

I teach at an institution that is culturally diverse.
An effort needs to be made to start a rapport with these students, and it’s through use of soft skill that we are we able to do this. Generating enthusiasm, positive motivation and mutual respect etc.
