Soft skills

I really hadn't disquished between the difference of soft or hard skills; however, it's interesting to see how your soft skills are a vital part of your success.

I found it interesting that the course also stated that soft skills are a vital part of success. Technical skill such as math skills, computer skills and written language skills accounted for only 15% of the success rate while soft skills such as being drug free, dependable and integrity accounted for 85% of the success rate.

Well said. I am a trades instructor who lacked soft skills at first. Obviously, I am getting MUCH better results since my Program Director has coached me.

Robert,
The workplace is always evolving with hard skills. The things that do not change are the soft skills.
Philip Campbell

I agree, without soft skill our students will not do well in the workplace. They need to understand how to get along with others and be a team player, and be open to others opinions.

Jennifer,
I like you line of thinking with this. Keep up the good work.

I certainly agree, its one of those topics that receive few feedback but is very important. Some people forget the importance of dealing with others and learning how to handle people is as important as handling business without people. Soft skills emulate professionalism.

I agree soft skills and being able to build that relationship with students and coworkers are vital to success. If you are not trust worthy and approachable you are not going to get very far.

Marvis,
Those soft skills lend to the success of individuals.
