Positive Attitude
It's important to keep a positive attitude at all times because if students see you in a positive mood they will come into the classroom with a positive open mind ready to receive what you have for them to learn.
A positive attitude is relatively is to come by when every thing in class is going well. However, being the instructor when times are not, challenges us and our students. These are the times that really try our skills. Hopefully we can leverage our skills to bring the attitude around for us and our students so they get what they need from your class.

Totally agree. It is much easier to be positive when others are. The same is true for being negative.

Having a positive attitude stimulate and open up the mind for learning. Yes it will breed more positive attitudes and make a classroom or workplace more effective.
A positive attitude is very important and when it comes down to it, it’s simply up to the person if he or she wants to have a positive attitude. You choose your attitude! Have a bad commute to work oh well choose to be upset or choose to be positive. For the short amount of time you are in your class in front of the students nothing else matters. If you want six hours to seem like twelve have a negative attitude. If you want six hours to seem like three have a positive attitude.

Positive attitudes play an important role in education. We have to let our students know that they can develop the technical skill and people skills that are necessary for success. Success in the workplace depends on technical skills and people (soft) skills. It is important for our students to know that these skills can be learned in an educational environment

Shanika, you are so right. Positive energy is contagious. I love the way it affects the students. I find I need to work harder when it comes to fellow faculty members, though. I wish this class was mandatory for all faculty member. ;-)
