I would like to see more video equipment in rooms to make better use of all the technology to allow students to see what the real world is all about.

With regards to watching a film having a student complete a quiz and essay always you see how much they learned and allows them to express themselves.

I agree with yo on this. I always create a quiz for them to take or have them write an essay relevant to the film.

You will find students that converse during video. It is important that the video reflects a graded assignment and is a part of the class discussion.

I agree the only thing I don't like about videos in the classroom is that the students sometimes use that time to converse with others as oppose to absorb teh information.

Video options are great for students with different learning styles. I suggest that you speak with administration regarding your need for video equipment as it can increase engagement within the classroom.
