Eatible Cell

I have used this type of teaching. We were studying the brain. Our group had to think of a dessert that had to do with grey matter. It was fun to do. The Teacher brought in Pig brain for us to eat and cooked it in the class. Now I can't say I have ever eaten brains.

I have had student use this method for body parts and it was very effective with the other students.

I love this idea, I think any hands-on activity will help the students remember important information, and, we all love snacks so that's a bonus !

That is the first time that I saw the Edible cell and love the idea I wish I knew about this before. I would have used this idea, maybe if I teach A&P again I will!

Makes them wake up!!! I have used jello molds of the brain and the heart (complete with infarcts) in order to increase the interst

This is a great idea! and could be used to teach grade school students as well as adults. You could use mini bread tins to make "plant" cells.
