I like to play a team hang man game where i might seperate a class into two to three groups depending on the class size. I have the class work as a team and they really enjoy it
Jessica this sounds great. I will try this with my students after lunch. This way they can't fall asleep.
Joel the baseball games is a hit with the classes. It applies their knowledge without them knowing.
The flyswatter game is where you write the terms on the board that are significant that week and read the definition to the class. Two people are up near the board and the first to run up to the board and swat the correct word gets one point for their team.
i also have each student review a word and give its meaning. I think this helps with retention
