make you own puzzles

I can see my self using the crosswords and puzzles in my classrooms for students that are done with classwork before everyone else.

I have never used this tool and looking forward to trying it out. I have done other types of games and is successful. Plus I didn't know there was software out there to do it. Great idea.

For the students that don't enjoy the puzzles as much, it's still exposing them to the vocabulary and structure of the words which is always helpful.

i agree with you, its fun and also push the learners for more benfit information.

Sherrie, it is a fun way to go over terminology.

I personally LOVE crossword puzzles, so I can see buying the software to generate these. For Veterinary Terminology, the word searches with the answer would be a blast!

I'm considering adding this as a homework assignment. Create your own crossword or wordsearch. I will give out lists that they can choose from and when they are finished, pass what they have created to their fellow students.

I have tried using cross word puzzles and scramble games with the students, they love it. The web has various free prorgams to do both. It's real fun for my students.

Sharon, fun and entertaining ways to review make the process more engaging for learners.

I also have obtained online the software for word searches, crossword puzzles, and word scrambles. After teaching on a specific system, I use one of these to review at the beginning of the next class session. I also have used BINGO.
