I have also discovered it worthwhile to visit the websites of the textbook publishers. There are usually all sorts of learning activities available to both the instructors and students, and this is especially important for those books that don't come with the CD you mentioned.

Our text books come with a CD inside the back cover. This is a great way to find some activities for your classes.
