Personalized word searches/crosswords
I have students create their own medical terminology word searches and crosswords to exchange with a fellow student. This allows them to participate on a every level.
Jennifer, sometimes it is the personal relationships they make with their peers that keeps them in our schools. It can also help to form and foster study groups.

I use crosswords/wordsearch puzzles alot! It breaks up the monotony of just studying from textbooks, and my students really enjoy it. I tend to put them in groups and the first group to complete gets a little prize.

That's a good spin on it. And could even possibly be used for them to create their own quizzes/tests/study guides.
