I really like this idea of incorporating pictures with medical terminology. Sometimes the best ways of learning are by creating something memorable to relate to.

A program by the name Dean von utilize pictures for students to remember the medical term. I found this to be effective in the rentention rate of the students.
I agree then you will be able to see how the student visualizes the terms. Sometimes their understanding of the word gives them a different idea.
cheryl, it is a good idea to test them out ahead of time so you can change them as necessary.

I agree. They seem to work especially well if they are kind of wild ideas. I also like to test the pictures on someone else that do not know the terms before I present them to the class.
