this game is great for timid and shy people in the class because it helps them to loosen up and become comfortable.
Cassandra, when you see evidence that a teaching idea is working(such as pointing to body parts), you can feel confident when using it in future classes.

I loved this idea. Since with med term, a lot of the topics are related to body parts, it was easy to act out and allowed the students to laugh. The visualization of a word (especially with the body labeling) seemed to improve retention. Id see them pointing to their own body while taking exams.
I have never played charades with my students, I may have to give it a try.
erica, it is important to understand that we need to reach all students, even the shy and timid ones.
