Well Organized and Consise
I think the most important thing about online courses is to make sure that they are well organized and concise. They need to be easy to navigate through and easy to understand.
Aubrie,
We all like clear intentions. If something is presented in an unclear way, there could be a lot more time involved in work overs.

Instructions need to be clear. One cannot assume students have enough prior knowledge to navigate through an online course.
Online Learning system training for new students help our students feel comfortable with learning online.
Sue,
Good point. This leads to more interaction with the student, which is a good thing. We as instructors must initally post what we seem to think is understandable, but then be available when questions arise.
Shelly Crider
The problem with your statement is that well organized and concise can be subjective comments. What's concise to us, as instructors, can often times be confusing to students.
I do agree with what you stated, though. The toughest part of our job when creating online content is to make sure it's well organized from a student perspective. Once they get frustrated, they can easily give up on the entire process.
I agree, there is nothing more frustrating to a student that cannot figure out what is next or content that is not concise.
