Jing

I have used Jing for some of my courses to capture images or videos from my screen in order to share them with my students. It's a very user friendly technology that allows you to take screenshots and mark them up with arrows, pictures captions, or textboxes. Or, you can create videos up to five minutes in length; I make them when I want to record what I see on my screen as I navigate websites or documents, which works great if I want to create a narrated tutorial. Check it out at http://www.techsmith.com/jing.html

Keith,
I so agree with you. Jing is very self-explanatory and you will create some nice documents.

This is a great tool that I actually learned in another course. The sign up is easy and it is easy to operate! I srongly recommend exploring this tool!

Hi Catherine, Jing is an excellent educational tool. When using Jing to create videos that can be embedded within course shells during curriculum development it is important to discuss and display work that has no copyrights assigned to it though. Something to keep in mind :)

Catherine,

Thank you so much for sharing this :-). I have also heard about "Debut." Have you used it? If yes, want to know your opinion.

Sincerely,
Srabasti

Catherine,
Oh I like Jing as well!! I love new resources. I hope that those of you in this course will browse the other resources that have been mentioned as well!
