Is it safe to use information posted on You Tube?

John,
We do live in a very visual world!

Shelly Crider

I would say. I use it a lot and I always get great feedback from students.

Hi, LaKeisha~

I post links of interest for students to use as a supplement, but do not present them directly in class. Typically, the content is an enhancement or an enrichment to the material, and not the sole content, so it works well.

Katina

Yes, I agree. Youtube has settings where videos can be set to be "unlisted" or "private" to protect the student's privacy.

LaKeisha,
Students love to see their instructor YouTube. It makes the instructor become human! I suggest you try it out!

Carlo,
That little ole copyright word!! We need to watch what we use and cite what is needed.

Shelly Crider

Stephen,
I have a feeling that the students appreciate this very much!

I think it is okay to use videos from YouTube, as long as you have verified that the information contained in the video is correct. You should also check if the information has been copyrighted.

I see no problem it is used by my instructors all the time.
