Many online instructors will have "office hours" so that students will know when they can get a question responded to immediately.

Real world experiences through on-line must be controlled very carefully as they are open to interpertation. As we all know, the context in which we write is not always delivered in the context in which we mean. This can lead to serious discussion misunderstanding during chat's, forumns or other type of written communications.
Yes indeed...personal experience makes the book information become real.
