I am interested in improving the application of exams in the eLearning arena to address the criticisms aimed at rigor in associated programs. What has been yoru experience with various classes, and how would you suggest removing subjectivity from grading, particularly for exams?

It is good to do some multiple choice as we will encounter these type of tests throughout life. It is good to know how to take them.

Maybe a combination of both multiple choice and short essay type questions
Make the exams multile choice to remove subjectivity.

Love that thought. Project based "exams" are really up and coming. It truly shows if the student retained what he/she read.
