Navigation through an Online Course
Navigation ease is very crucial for well developed online course. It is very necessary to assess the most optimal way for students to be able to easily navigate through courses. This module was great to point out the need for students to be able to find their way through the online environment. Formative assessment methods were noted are a means of providing essential information to course developers, emphasizing the necessity to maintain user friendly navigation techniques (Skye, Wimsatt, Master-Hunter, & Locke, 2011).

Dona,
Great practice! When you add information in different locations, students will realize it is important and will retain.

In creating an online course I've found it is a good idea to repeat key information in multiple places in the course to ensure students see it as they navigate through the course.
For example, an assignment due date may be noted on the course calendar, in the information for the module and on the course syllabus. This is a little different from a traditional course where the information is typically only noted on a syllabus.
Dona
Heidi,
Students also need ease in contacting and getting a response from teh instructor.
