Asynchronous assignments
Are using Asynchronous assignments in an on ground environment as effective as an online environment ?
Paul,
It does come down to a choice....participate and learn, or not.
Shelly Crider
in my opinion No, no pressure or looks from students to teachers. the meek and the shy don't have to participate unless forced to by holding back from continuing to move forward or withholding grades
Deborah,
The instructor does need to be involved. I hope and feel fairly confident that the instructors here to so!
Shelly Crider
I believe online Asynchronous assignment can be as effective online. However, the instructor has to work harder at getting students to communicate and participate online. This facilitation can include emailing students to encourage participation, adding interesting or motivational content, using student names, asking more questions and so forth
Clovis,
There will be students who refuse to speak in online or on ground....as well as those students who like to talk and talk!
