A copyright policy seems to be an important elements that should be created by an institution. I'm curious to know what one of those might look like. Perhaps you can post an example of what a copyright policy for a generic institution might look like.
Printed and easily accessible copyright guidelines! Many institutions seem to rely on a reactive approach to a very serious topic. Pro-activeness protects the institution as well as the individual.
Rhonda,
Very well said. I will make sure that is cleared up on the mini quiz as it should clearly be not all.

I would agree with you - institutions fail to (not only) education their faculty but ensure proper implementation. I also want to note that when we discuss the TEACH Act it is for "accredited" non-profit institutions. The mini quiz states "all" but I think it is important to note the distinction.
All academic institutions should develop copyright guidelines and made available to faculty members, staff, and students. Training sessions should be undertaken by all institutions. Academic institutions should follow and example of Penn State by posting the copyright guidelines on their home page. Thanks, Tom
Most educational institutions fail to educate their faculty about the importance of copyright protection and usage. Following this failure, instructors seldom inform their students. Plagiarism appears to the major concern for faculty and institutions. Although this may be connected to copyright law, the laws themselves are seldom brought into the conversation.
