APPROPRIATE TECHNOLOGY TOOLS WITH FUNCTION
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO HAVE AN APPROPRIATE TOOLS?
Choosing the appropriate technology tool can make the difference. It is essential that the instructor provides students with the technology requirements for the course bacuase it will be easier for the student to learn if they could see what will be the outcome of the subject, especially if the type of the student you have is visual learner.

Thank you for sharing. I too have used this. There are many other recording tools that range from free to $$ that can be used. Again, thanks for sharing. This is one of the reasons I LOVE online education; even for us!

I love using Camtasia. I have created short videos on using Excel to calculate present value, future value, etc. You need to create a script and practice your delivery. There are also many files made by other faculty members who share freely. Students may watch these at any time. They can rewind and study each step of the process.
I totally agree with choosing the appropriate tools dependent on the students' learning styles. One thing I like to do the first day of class and at the beginning of each quarter is ask the students if they are aware of their specific learning style. If not, I ask them to complete at least two "learning style" surveys, prior to the end of class, in order to discover what learning style that describes them. I find this of significant benefit in my approach to teaching different topics to different students and/or learning styles.
